Today it is celebrated in the Netherlands we live in freedom again, since WWII ended 72 years ago. Although the world still does not live in harmony, wars are going on each day, tolerance seems to be a forgotten quality of our human nature, a lot of us still find it hard to accept we are all unique individuals (and therefore different) and so many more reasons to worry about our globe and the creatures who live upon it, celebrations like Freedom-day in my home country are important:
To remind us, Freedom is no longer a natural given.
To remind us, neighbors of ours die every day due to other neighbors.
To remind us we have the Freedom of Choice:
To choose to create a peaceful Dreampack (world) for all of us.
To choose to be kind, compassionate, acknowledge our uniqueness and differences.
To choose to be open, mind, soul, heart, to learn from each other and reach out.
To choose to embrace our own positiveness and act upon those.
No matter our believes, religions, cultures, environments, limitations…
We have the Freedom of Choice to CARE.

Patty, did you know that you have a certain number of words set for people? If I try to leave one word, then it won’t let me. Hence, these two sentences. All I wanted to say was Amen. But it wouldn’t let me.
I’m not familiar with that ‘saying’…a certain number of words set for people…
Coming from you, I think it is a compliment..so thank you! XxX
