Other Beautiful Posts ~ K E Garland, Mr Legend, Danicanallen, Tanya Cliff

Reaching out, connecting and acknowledging are very important and by hopping over each day to various blogs/websites and reading the Beautiful Posts written by others, our neighbors, I come across so many exciting, wonderful and/or thought-provoking pieces, I made the decision to share as of today, not just one, but several ‘Other Beautiful Posts’ once a week.

New in WordPress’ blogging-land is the lovely lady ‘Danicanallen‘, her first post is thought-provoking, but also includes an important message and in my humble opinion, a promise to future marvelous articles.

“A few years ago, I realized that I loved people too much be a Christian. This conclusion impacted my personal life so strongly, that I decided to write a book about it, a book which will soon be launched into the world. I’m not ready, I’ll confess. I’m scared to open my story and my thoughts for the world to read. I’m afraid of the negative, hurtful, and downright hateful comments that will inevitably poke their way into my previously safe worlds of virtual and real interactions. But I believe it’s a story that needs to be told. My love for my human family, my child, the earth, myself, the marginalized, and the oppressed outweighs my insecurity.” Read more (click)

I regularly share a Beautiful Post by ‘Mr. Legend‘ and I just had to share this one too. I am always amazed of his talent to combine a common activity (although in this case; hiking is maybe not that common, hahaha) with a profound message. And the quotes he adds to his articles, always spot-on !

I typically try to find hikes in the six to eight mile range with anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 feet of elevation change. For a serious hiker this would not be terribly hard. The guys that I know that are bad-ass trail blazers will knock-out 15 to 20 miles in a day. I am not a bad-ass. About four to five hours is all I am willing to devote to the activity.” Read more (click)

K E Garland, Katherin, has written a post, well, I think after you read this… you might want to try being Facebook free for a month too. Really, you will discover remarkable thoughts of your OWN. But read Katherin’s first, ok?!

“Every year I take a 30-day Facebook break. Just like other things, I tend to use Facebook intently and intensely, so I need to deactivate every now and then.

My social media vacay is typically around the holidays, but this time August seemed to be the best time of year. I figured I wouldn’t miss the back-to-school pics, latest Donald Trump outrage, or eclipse images. I was right. The only…”
