In August (2017) Windows10 displayed a picture of an amazing Rock at my laptop. I showed this to my husband and he said the trip to it by car was doable. The next day we booked a lovely cottage and last week we traveled to this beautiful part of North-Spain 🙂 People we informed about our plans, well…the most considered us crazy. A 13 hour drive, twice, for 3 days vacation time? And that is without the pauses. Ridiculous, they said. However, we like driving and the journey is an adventure for us in itself. In addition, it has been quite a while since our last holiday and it was the first time for our Joy (dog) to go on vacation with us. We took a lot of photographs, quite the task to choose between those to share with you all. So, take a beverage and enjoy the compilation I made….

And amazing week, back to basic with no television and internet (only on our mobiles), walking, barbecuing and we slept a lot. A much needed break and back home with fantastic new memories. The drive absolutely worthwhile 😉

I thought you would come by plane! Maybe because I don´t like to drive and a 13 hours road trip would be hard to think about.

We love the North of Spain Patty… so beautiful… the Atlantic ocean, spanish food…
We went for a 10 day journey this year and enjoyed every moment of it (Bilbao, San Sebastian, Santiago de Compostella etc). Can imagine you’ve had a great time xx

Ha, ha I know exactly what you mean. The look of shock horror knowing you need to drive more than a couple of hours. I think people forget how big Australia is and most don’t realise it takes a 6-hour flight to get from the East coast to the West coast. 😉
