Adventure in Spain (My Dreampack)

In August (2017) Windows10 displayed a picture of an amazing Rock at my laptop. I showed this to my husband and he said the trip to it by car was doable. The next day we booked a lovely cottage and last week we traveled to this beautiful part of North-Spain 🙂 People we informed about our plans, well…the most considered us crazy. A 13 hour drive, twice, for 3 days vacation time? And that is without the pauses. Ridiculous, they said. However, we like driving and the journey is an adventure for us in itself. In addition, it has been quite a while since our last holiday and it was the first time for our Joy (dog) to go on vacation with us. We took a lot of photographs, quite the task to choose between those to share with you all. So, take a beverage and enjoy the compilation I made….

And amazing week, back to basic with no television and internet (only on our mobiles), walking, barbecuing and we slept a lot. A much needed break and back home with fantastic new memories. The drive absolutely worthwhile 😉

  1. I´m so happy you´ve had a great time!
Nice to meet all your family. Pets and laptops are family too, right? 😀
I thought you would come by plane! Maybe because I don´t like to drive and a 13 hours road trip would be hard to think about.
Lovely pics, all of them, and i love the carrousel image, so we don´t have to scroll down, and down, and down…
    Big hugs!

    1. I agree with Chape — love the carrousel! Patty, you are generous to share these – looove them! so glad you & yours had a great time — of course, am partial to pix with you & Joy in them 🙂

  2. We love the North of Spain Patty… so beautiful… the Atlantic ocean, spanish food…
We went for a 10 day journey this year and enjoyed every moment of it (Bilbao, San Sebastian, Santiago de Compostella etc). Can imagine you’ve had a great time xx

    1. Yes! Bilbao and San Sebastion we have been traveling through to get to that Rock 🙂
I guess you have a lot of similar photographs, haha
      Big hug! XxX

  3. Sounds like a well-earned and fantastic break! Love the photos!
Coming from Australia, I wouldn’t think twice about a 13-hour road trip and love the driving, especially if there isn’t too much traffic around. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Nilla 🙂
I know, right?! But since you live in Europe now, I don”t have to tell you most people here think a 2 hour drive is already too much, haha

      1. Ha, ha I know exactly what you mean. The look of shock horror knowing you need to drive more than a couple of hours. I think people forget how big Australia is and most don’t realise it takes a 6-hour flight to get from the East coast to the West coast. 😉

  4. OMG! The photos are gorgeous! I’m super glad that you have enjoy your time and you have your much needed vacation to bond with your loved ones. Can imagine you don’t want to leave Spain! Lol.

    1. Thanks Kally 🙂
It was indeed a fantastic time, but we also love to be at home (again). Soon starting to plan my next adventure, Indonesia 😉
      XxX

  5. Wow Patty, you’re my kind of woman… 😀 Seeing a picture of a rock and just go there, with no seconds thoughts! I have been traveling to the north of Spain years ago, it’s amazingly beautiful there. Glad the three of you you enjoyed this small beak so much! XX!

    1. To be honest…if the rock happened to be in Australia, we wouldn’t have been that spontaneous 😉 Thanks for visiting me here at my website again, dear Anushka. XxX
