It has been a while since the latest update of My Personal World. Approaching the holiday vacation fast, as also the end of this year, I thought it would be nice to publish a short update. Since October, my connection to life primary focus has been on Danja. Of course, also decorating our house in the spirit of the holiday season.
Danja, our new furry friend
Not familiar with indoor living, she had to learn a lot: Don’t steal food out of our hands or from our plates. Walking on leash, she does very well… next challenge will be learning to behave while passing other dogs. However, why go for a walk if you can cuddle, enjoy the sofa or play with a ball? This soon to be two year old sweetie has also found a way to get attention by putting the ball on our desk.
Like myself, she favors the Sun. I foresee lots of fun upcoming Spring. Danja was found not to be eager enough for police training. In addition, we noticed she doesn’t use her back legs as she should. Additional therapy and supplements will probably be necessary, fortunately, being also an animal therapist, I can provide her the guidance she needs. The calm presence of my husband also helps her to gain more trust day by day. That also means her naughty side increases too, haha. After almost 9 weeks living in our world, she stole our hearts and we are so happy with this new furry friend.
Holiday around the corner
As always and pretty normal, our year has been again full of ups and downs. Already looking forward to the planned two weeks of quality time with my hubby and Danja. A trip to the Dutch coast is on my wish-list, also visiting a few beloved ones. Mostly we will spend our time at home and I’ve been creative again to bring some festive sphere into our personal world.
Both not religious, our interpretation of the holiday season is all about spending extra quality time together. Connection, that is what life is all about for us. With each other, with beloved ones. In person or virtual. To food, health, nature and modern techniques.
