Procrastination. I think we all are guilty of it sometimes. Maybe, reading this, you are even disconnected, stuck, right now and not sure what next step to take. Let’s examine this week what might be holding you back, Connecting to Life, to Others, to Yourself.
Life Connection

I read somewhere*, that on average, we procrastinate 12 years and 5 months during our life. Equal to 109.000 hours. Wow. Think of all the stuff you could have been doing and still can do during this amount of time. At the same time, with the current virus going around our world, Connecting to Life may seem senseless. ‘Why even bother?’ might go through your mind. Not knowing what you want out of life, I believe, is one of the main reasons people procrastinate. As contradicting as it sounds: ask yourself, what it is you want to leave behind. Do you want to be remembered for your qualities, for the job you did, the amount of succes you achieved, or money you gained? Etc. There is no right or wrong answer 😉 To create a Life Connection:
Visualize what Your mark will be, You are going to leave behind.
Soul Connection

It is impossible to Stay Connected to all and everyone. It’s why I suggested to reflect on your connections in previous weekly posts. Reaching out to another person can be daunting. I remember when I first lived on my own, procrastinating certain calls to companies. Talking to strangers on the phone, asking for a service I needed… EEKS. To be honest, still have to remind myself at times, the person on the other end of the line is also a human being. Doing there job. That’s why I keep reminding you here on my website to acknowledge bloggers, writers, creators, etc. Connected to those pieces of art, information, services, avatars, profile pictures are people. Just like me. Just like you 😉
Core Connection

Whether you would like to establish Life Connection or Soul Connection, and I know it seems cliche, it really does start with Core Connection. Discover what is the root cause for your procrastination. What is truly holding you back. Anxiety, fear, uncertainty, low self-esteem and other emotions are often the results of assumptions and negative thoughts. Take back control of those emotions, most likely the results of your thoughts. Check the facts. Are your beliefs truly yours? Yes, it can be scary to look into the mirror: nobody knows you better than you.
Don't procrastinate seeking help when needed.
We all need help sometimes.
We can’t help everyone, but everyone can use their skills to help someone. With that quote in mind, I publish every Wednesday a post with the intention to inspire you to Connect to Life, Others and Yourself.
Sometimes you’ve to follow your own heart. Therefor this weekly series has ended.
What’s right for me may not be right for you!
You are and will remain responsible for your own health, your own well-being, your own environment.
When in doubt about your physical and / or mental health, about your life, about specific food choices… A doctor, specialist, dietitian, nutritionist, therapist, or other caregiver may remove your doubts.
