Design the vision for YOUR life (part two)

As I stated in the previous post, the best revenge strategy to handle the ugliness in the world, is to create beautiful tiny worlds. So let’s continue the journey designing the vision for YOUR life…

Disclaimer

Before I’m going to take you through the process of designing visions for YOUR life, be aware of the following:

  • You are and will always be responsible for your own life and for the choices you make.
  • When done seriously, totally honest with yourself, some (or all) parts of the process can be tough.
  • Your vision(s) don’t have to be perfect, the perfect way does not exist.
  • Examples given are my personal perspectives. What good is for me, isn’t automatically good for you too.

The Process

For this process, you will need a pen and paper or (digital) notebook. Personally, I wrote everything down by hand and at the end, I assembled a personal binder. There is, just as in writing down your visions, no right or wrong. Use what makes sense to you ; -)

I’ve chosen to share small steps for each life-area. It will give you time to reflect deeply on each section. Also, the posts will not be too long to read through.

Design the vision for YOUR life (part two)

In part one, we reflected upon our premises regarding health and fitness. To be able to write your health and fitness vision for yourself, you need to know what you believe about these topics.

Grab a pen plus notebook, a tablet or a laptop and let’s design the vision for YOUR life. If you’re serious about it, you’ll have a pillar you can always lean on. And the best part; it’s yours and yours alone…

Whether you’re in your twenties, forties, or have ten more years to go here on this beautiful planet, designing your visions for life is always helpful. Ready?! Let’s start with part two of this series, I am sharing to inspire you to step up and find (more) clarity and hopefully start living a more meaningful life on YOUR terms.

Vision plus Purpose for your health and fitness (2/3)

Vision

When you are clear about your premises regarding Health and Fitness, it is time to write down the vision(s) you have for yourself on this life area. Be realistic: you know best, if a certain level health-wise and fit-wise is achievable. At the same time, make sure your beliefs don’t limit the wishes for yourself.

Health: As an example, I plan to become at least 99 years, in overall good health.

Fitness: In addition to being healthy, I will be an energetic strong woman.

Your vision

You have written down what YOU believe to be true, in general, about Health and Fitness, now answer the following question: How healthy and fit would YOU like to be? Visualize yourself at that preferable level and note it down.

Purpose

Nobody can guarantee I will realize those visions for myself. I am the only one, who can make it happen. Writing down visions is comparable to setting goals. The process I am taking you through, goes a bit deeper than that.

That’s the reason, you are now going to think about the purpose for your vision(s). About the ‘WHY’ you would like to be at a certain level of health and fitness. It will be the driving force, the metaphorical kick under your own butt…

As an example, realizing the visions for myself regarding this life area, will make it easier to deal with life’s challenges. It will also make it possible, to stay my sparkling self.

Your Purpose

Maybe you have kids, or grandkids, you would like to stay healthy and fit for? Maybe you see yourself in a few years retiring and traveling the world? Maybe, you want to start a family, be active in your garden… What is your reason to be(come) healthy and fit? You might have more purposes ; -)

We know have reflected upon your premise(s), vision(s) and purpose(s). To be honest, going through this life area myself, I discovered some harsh truths and I definitely still need to step up here and there. I rather pay now than later ; -)

The next part in this series will be about strategy and thus how you can start working towards realizing your vision(s). Until then, remember, the perfect way does not exist!

Personal

Remember, designing the vision for your life is very personal. Of course, you are welcome to share your thoughts in the comments below, or ask questions. Good luck!

  1. You always give me something to think about, Patty! I am so good helping others in these matters, but not a paragon of virtue regarding myself. Still, I am going to do this right now!!!

Apologies for not Connecting sooner. Lots on my plate at the moment. Good things, but still…
How did it go? Did you discover anything new about yourself and the direction you’re moving through life?

  2. Perhaps I will try it later 🙂 We have an extra day off, so who knows.
Hope you’re doing oke and wishing you all the best and a beautiful Easter-weekend xx
