To clarify, I never had the privilege of going to Germany–our German professor would show us videos and photos though–and we read some wonderful books and poetry….Canada is a wonderful country…I was born in England, but have lived in Canada since age 6. My younger sister has lived in Amsterdam for 15 years or so…and, yes–everything happens for a reason 🙂 Oh, and another thought–when I was in grades 7 and 8, I had a best friend who is Dutch and, among many fond memories are chocolate hail sandwiches (white bread with butter and chocolate sprinkles…I was also delighted to find that, in her household, they put butter and sugar on their white rice) 🙂
Hahaha…the chocolate sprinkles…first thing that was difficult to find her in Germany, but – and my husband is very happy – I found them, hahaha
Butter and sugar on white rice? That’s even new to me!
Anyway, Germany and/or The Netherlands (which is more then Amsterdam 😛 )…connect with me, if you need a tour-guide 😉
