Some days you need to Boost Your Soul with: music!

There are days, you wake up in the morning, start with a smile and little dance and you look forward to a new day and then boom…Suddenly, you feel miserable. What triggered this feeling could be due to various reasons, but you just can find your mojo again.

One of the ways I Boost my Soul: Music !

If I feel like crying, but the tears just won’t come and I know I need a good cry to work through my emotions and get that uncomfortable feeling out of my system, this is one of the songs that does the trick for me:

In need of a song just to sing out loud, dance like crazy and lift my spirit…I have a lot of favorites, Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, Bon Jovi’s Sleep when I’m dead, but always on my playlist for those moments ( I hope I can still do this at the age, she still did 😉 ):

On those days I think our big Dreampack won’t survive much longer, despair is getting the best of me, my all-time favorite is and will always be:

And if that doesn’t help, I have my own rock to keep me grounded and to crawl into his arms, my Mimi a text-message away, my Dad from which I got my love for music, dear family & friends and of course you…dear Beautiful Souls who keep on supporting and connecting with me 🙂

Now tell me, what kind of music helps to Boost Your Soul?

Inspire each other...

  1. Ah… I’ve adopted Adele’s ‘Make you feel my love’ when my tears need a push from the heart. But the Misa Criolla by Mercedes Sosa does a good job there too. I can’t sit still and stay sad however whenever I hear A Brand New Day, from The Wizard of Oz! 🙂 Love your ‘playlist’ too, though… <3

    1. Oh yes, those do the trick too. And yes, a Brand New Day won’t keep me sitting still either 🙂
Enjoy your weekend, dear Anushka. XxX

  2. Glad to see i’m not the only one 🙂
And yes, your songs work, definitely. Sarah McLachlan – In the arms of an angel, wasted time – eagles, the rose – Beth Midler, work for me aswell, and for the Dutch, Maarten van Roosendaal ‘Mooi’; can make me laugh and cry at the same time.
Dikke knuffel voor jou, mooi mens xx

    1. Oooh, good choices too! 🙂 Yes, there are indeed songs who can do both. En voor jou ook, lief mens. Fijn weekend! XxX

  3. Music can offer such magic can’t it?! I love your choices Patty. Right now I’ve got Amy Steinberg’s Exactly on pretty constant spin – it makes my heart quite happy.

    1. Ooh, that is indeed a wonderful song too 🙂
Thank you for visiting and connecting, dear Deborah. Much appreciated. XxX

  4. Absolute genius! Lovely post Patty, I’ve always been a big fan of Denzel Washington but I never really heard this song from Book of Eli. Its really good and refreshing. Music is really a great energy booster! Especially music like you recommended.

    Stay happy stay blessed 🙂
