In the previous article, Day 5 of this challenge, I made you aware of the concept of habits. To view your daily routine, how much of what you do are good or bad habits. What is right, what is wrong? Only YOU can determine, what is good for you. Maybe you prefer to live without a fixed routine, some kind of structure.
Many people believe that living by a daily routine, with a daily structure in place, they will have to give up freedom. Waking up every day at the same time, exercise daily, and eat healthy every day will turn you into a robot. Really?
Have you ever considered that creating a daily routine to your unique needs could lead to more freedom? For me, freedom is about having the choice to take back control: by implementing a daily routine, I can choose when to do what. Fitting to the schedule of my husband’s working hours, to the needs of him and those of our dog, to my own needs.
Creating a schedule provides me the opportunity to choose the days I don’t want to exercise, the moments I want to relax and watch my favorite Netflix series, the time to visit a friend, skip a healthy meal or stay up late. Because I know, I have scheduled in also time to do all the tasks I personally have to do.
Structure = Freedom
Just like the belief ‘I have no time’, the belief ‘structure limits freedom’, is just that; a belief. A belief is either inherited, a thought, an emotion, an opinion. What helps me determine what is good for me personally, is asking myself: ‘How do I know it is true?’
It is your choice to believe, what you want to believe. To determine what is right or wrong to you. My truth doesn’t have to be your truth and vice versa. Question your belief-systems, decide what is good for and to you, to
