Expectations – ConnectLiveOthersYourself

Connecting to Life, to Others, to Yourself, expectations are a very human thing to have. It is something I struggled a lot with my self, at times still do. We have the right to have expectations, but are we entitled to them?

Life Connection

The difference between ‘the right’ and ‘entitlement’ is this: we all have a fundamental right to fire, water, food, clothing and shelter. Nowadays, sanitation, education, healthcare, access to the internet and money are usually also considered as basic rights. The first five are our human basic needs to survive, the others are debatable if we really need those for our survival.  I feel, however, we have forgotten everything we gain beyond our basic needs is a luxury. We have a right to strive for these luxurious needs, but are we entitled to them?

Soul Connection

Via this website, I encourage you to Connect. Acknowledging your loved ones, even our neighbors in general is important. Building new connections on a regular base myself, I had to learn that I can’t expect someone wants the connection. In addition, when connected, you can’t expect someone to connect as much as you may prefer.

Core Connection

When it comes down to Core Connection, it is crucial to have realistic expectations. Reflect regularly on the connections to all areas of your life, however, don’t expect all areas will be perfect all the time. You’re the master of your life, you don’t have to master it all the time. Let go of the high expectations of yourself every now and then and relax a little 😉

We can only take responsibility of our own connections and thus expectations.

At the same time, your connections are not obligated to meet your expectations.

Last week, I wrote about reflecting on your boundaries. Reviewing your expectations could be a helpful additional tool. Are you really entitled to what you expect? Of Life, Of Others, Of Yourself?

We can’t help everyone, but everyone can use their skills to help someone. With that quote in mind, I publish every Wednesday a post with the intention to inspire you to Connect to Life, Others and Yourself. Find them all here: CLICK

What’s right for me may not be right for you!

You are and will remain responsible for your own health, your own well-being, your own environment.

When in doubt about your physical and / or mental health, about your life, about specific food choices… A doctor, specialist, dietitian, nutritionist, therapist, or other caregiver may remove your doubts.

Inspire each other...
