Living a Life Suitable to Your Uniqueness

Creating and living a life suitable to your uniqueness will not always be easy. In today’s blogpost, I share a day from the free 12-day Connection Journey – Basics, which I designed to help you thrive on your terms…

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, global neighbors!

In seven weeks, the Global Connection Platform will open its doors. Whether you want to shift out of automatic, routine existence or just wish to deepen the Connections you already have, explore a variety of topics together with your global neighbors, or join online workshops and other events…

The platform will be a place for you to create meaningful Connections.

There will be both free and paid journeys you can take. Today, I am sharing a chapter from the free 12-day Connection Journey – Basics. The complete mini course, as also the example below, is for educational and reflective purposes. As always, what is good for me is not automatically good for you.

Your uniqueness and the freedom to choose are most important.

With the current heatwaves around our globe, I’ve chosen to share day 2 to give you a preview of how most of the 12 days will be structured. The overall content might change slightly before going live in September; only if needed to align better with the rest of the materials I have created.

12-day Connection Journey – Basics

Day 2: Connection Journey – Basics

WATER

Besides fire, water is another Basic Connection we simply cannot live without.

Throughout history, entire cities and old villages were always built right next to rivers or natural springs. If there’s no water, Life just stops. Your body itself is largely made of water; you can survive for quite a while without food, but go without water for just a few days, and your physical existence ends.

For many of us, water is so accessible that we turn on a tap and it appears instantly. You probably don’t even think about it anymore. It becomes just another automatic Connection for which you pay the bill, rather than something that literally keeps our bodies moving, our homes running, and our world alive.

Hence, during these 12 days, we are looking at various Basic Connections, including water.

Daily Reality

Depending on where you live, how you use water looks completely different for everyone.

Maybe you’re hooked up to the city pipes, or maybe like me, you live a bit more rural and also think about wells, filters, or rainwater. But it’s not just about what we drink. Water is a huge part of the daily rhythm in our homes. It’s used for showering after a long day, washing your dishes, sprinkling the garden or cleaning windows.

Water is important for maintaining physical and mental health. Depending on your beliefs, your water intake can consist of just water, or mixed with other ingredients like coffee, tea, solid foods…

The quality of the water you have access to, and how you choose to consume it, directly impacts your daily vitality.

Your Vision

On day 1, you mapped out your overall vision for a unique Life. Now, look at that vision through the lens of this specific Basic Connection. Looking at your personal beliefs, ideals, and motivations again, ask yourself:

What Connection(s) to Water supports the lifestyle you are choosing to create?

For example:

When you live in the countryside, you become hyper-aware of how your house works. For my husband and me, finding that balance between modern comfort and a sustainable lifestyle means looking at things practically. Whether it’s figuring out if a solar boiler makes sense for our hot water, or just making sure we aren’t wasting what flows through our pipes, keeping this Basic Connection in mind frequently is how we keep our quality of Life aligned to our uniqueness.

The Connection Scan – Water

Let’s step away from the practicality for 60 seconds and look at your reality:

  1. Identify (Scan): Picture a still, natural pond versus a smooth-running water tap. Both can be associated with water, but they are completely different. One is filled with steady, yet natural water. The other has sparkling, filtered water flowing.
  2. Connect (Create): Look at your current daily reality and your vision for a unique L Which of these two examples align with your uniqueness? Are you more drawn to the natural water source, or the ready-to-use liquid?
  3. disConnect (Choice): There is no right answer here. Choose which source you want to prioritize, if you wish to combine both moving forward in your Life, or not use at all.

Survival goal

Sometimes, when we start talking about daily habits or home maintenance, a little voice in our head says, Come on, this is too small. I have bigger problems to worry about than where my water comes from.

However, I would like to remind you: Everything is Connected. Everything!

If your Basic Connections are not in order, your Life, Soul, and Core Connections don’t have a solid foundation to lean on. Your body might start running empty, your living space could start to become chaotic, and you will most likely lose the Connections enabling you to enjoy Life in general. Facing these small, ignored corners of our lives can feel annoying, but creating meaningful Connections starts with just one small choice.

It is up to you to set a goal, or more if you like, to deepen your Basic Connection to water. Maybe you want to create some new goals or adjust the ones you already had.

Survival strategy

What is needed to create your unique Connection(s) to Water?

Research? Expertise? Resources?

What are you willing to do, or not do, to fulfill your chosen Connection(s) to Water?

Shared Wisdom

On the Global Connection Platform, you will also find the option to share your thoughts, perspectives and experiences, just like below this blogpost, in the comments below. The difference is that it will be behind the private walls of the digital environment, because I am well aware not everyone feels comfortable sharing online.

In case you found above example of the free 12-day Connection Course – Basics helpful and would like to work on the other Basic Connections too, you can find more information about the Global Connection Platform here:
