This week we started navigating our Soulconnections, the intentional bridges we build toward others from a place of integrity. As we explore the ‘Vitality of Relation’, I would like to acknowledge a Beautiful Soul who understands the weight of these connections and the courage it takes to redefine them.
The Canary Circle & The Lantern
I came across Shannon’s project today on YouTube and was immediately struck by the alignment in our work. Canaries in the Coal Mine addresses deeply relatable topics; family systems, emotional patterns, and the journey of the ‘cycle breaker’. I noticed her service, The Canary Circle, which beautifully resembles The Lantern service I recently opened. Both spaces offer a sanctuary for those navigating the unnatural burdens of their history, providing a light for those who have felt unseen or misunderstood for far too long.
Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement is important, even more important than you might think. I wrote an article about that a few years ago (read more) and I figured, I can’t talk about the importance of this and not keep walking the talk myself, right?!
Acknowledgement is not about approving; it’s about empowering and showing appreciation. In our virtual world, we also have various opportunities to do so. While we can exist on our own, we thrive better when connecting to others. Especially, if they speak the same language of the Soul.
The Space Between Patterns
Shannon’s work focuses on the ‘Canaries’; the deeply sensitive people who notice what others miss and often carry the tension of their entire family system. Her platform is a sanctuary for those who have been labeled ‘too much’ or ‘the problem’ simply because they were the ones brave enough to feel.
Whether she is discussing the hidden cost of being a cycle breaker or why adult friendships feel different as we evolve, her message is clear: You are not broken; you are just the one who noticed the truth first.
It is beautiful to see another creator building a ‘Plaza’ of sorts; a space where people are encouraged to stop shrinking and start living honestly.
If you feel like you are outgrowing old roles or navigating the unnatural burdens of inherited expectations, I highly recommend visiting her virtual home.
