Last week, I became a bit overwhelmed with the current mental sphere around our world. In addition, the behavior I observed around our virtual world added to my emotional mindset. So instead of posting new content, as planned, I reflected upon my own off -and online behavior. A thought arose: Don’t just scroll, Connect!
Kally invited me to write another guest post and this time she would like me to address the topic ‘How to handle grief in the workplace, when your colleague passed away. Honestly, I cringed a bit, an automatic response to the word grief. However, I also immediately knew I would agree to do it. Since grief might not be an easy topic to talk (or write) about, however, it is part of life. Denying life is finite, is not a healthy habit.
Let’s end this year with a big bang ; -) Not literally of course! First of all, because my website is all about inspiring you to Connect to Life, Others and Yourself. Not to motivate you to cause a literal bang. Secondly, I’m not a fan of fireworks. It causes too much harm to our world, in my opinion, and so many animals are scared of all the bangs. However, 2020 has become a challenging year, so let’s end it together with a metaphorically big bang…
We all do it. Kings, queens, politicians, business owners, journalists, the baker, you, me. As a storytelling breed we create new stories on a daily base. Some stories inherited from ancient tales, others found in modern research and whatever the source, we like to form opinions based upon those stories.
Most people don’t like to be told what to do. In the coaching and counseling industry, it’s tempting to give advice, while active listening is far more important. That’s why you will find, here on this website, various articles and tools to help you find the answers to your questions yourself.
Regularly, I go through my own older posts. Jeeeez, I’ve created and written a lot this past decade. Also a good reminder for myself, I learned a lot. Although, I still question myself at times, I do have some unshakeable main values. Unshakeable confidence in some areas, in some not so much…
Although I encourage you to Connect to Life, Others and Yourself, it is impossible to Connect to all and everyone.
Hereby, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my virtual home! Connect with me personally via the comment section or visit my contact page.
Looking forward to Connect!
Over a decade, I write and create, developing this website into what it is today. Connecting on a global scale, aiming to inspire YOU to Connect. To Life, to Others, to Yourself.
Let us stop trying to convince one and another there is only one way to live. Instead, let us empower each other to find and live the lifestyle suitable to our uniqueness.
Acknowledging and embracing our differences, using them as strength to build meaningful Connections and a world upon which we can all thrive.
