About me and blogging

One of the most fun parts of blogging is for me the connecting part. When I notice someone new started to follow me, I always hop over to his or her website/blog and first look for an ‘About’ page to learn more about my neighbor and fellow blogger. Partly, because I am curious by nature, partly because I am sincerely interested.

If there is no ‘About’ page available, I surf a bit around and I practice this:

Maybe you would like to get to know me a bit better? If you haven’t read it before, for your convenience here is the link to my ‘About’ page:

Mimosa Pudica is a creeping annual or perennial herb, also called sleepy plant, Dormilones or shy plant. This herb proves that plants, besides being alive, can react very quickly although they don’t have a nervous system.

  1. I love your approach Patty – such reaching out, openness, and eagerness to explore. In many ways that’s quite opposite of Mimosa Pudica, When I first found your blog, I loved reading your about page, and learning the Dutch connection to a quick-tempered touchy person. That really expanded the definition for me, because I always identified with what we mostly call “the sensitive plant” here in the USA as so-shy-that-avoiding-being-seen-is-the-best-possible-outcome. It’s always so interesting to learn about cultural differences, which helps grow both connection and respect I think.

I’m glad indeed that you blog!

    1. Thank you dear Deborah 🙂
One of many reasons I blog, to connect and learn about other perspectives, cultures, etc.
