There is a common misconception that to live a meaningful, intentional life, the only option is to retreat to a cabin in the woods or fit your entire world into a suitcase. As a 21st Century Global Humanist, I’ve found a different path: I choose to live tiny inside a big house…
Living Tiny in a Big House
This isn’t about square footage; it’s about the soul of your space. Living tiny in a big house is the choice to be surrounded only by what serves, inspires, and facilitates me as a modern humanist.
Within these walls, the focus is Wealth as a Tool; using resources to build a sanctuary that supports thriving. It is not about shrinking my life into minimalism or settling for just enough. This lifestyle is about choosing Quality over Abundance. It is the freedom to have exactly what I need to flourish, without the greediness of overconsumption.
Choosing to Thrive
This choice is a manifestation of Wholeness over Perfection. The aim is never a cold, sterile minimalism, but the creation of a home that feels like a living, breathing ecosystem.
As a Conscious Human Being, I recognize that environment dictates energy. By choosing to live tiny, focusing daily life and energy in the spaces that truly matter, the noise is reduced. This is Realism over Regression; modern comforts and design are used to enhance life, ensuring I remain the master of my technology, not a servant to its maintenance.
Living beyond Permission
I no longer wait for permission from the world to define what a successful home looks like. I choose Choice over Permission. If a room doesn’t serve a purpose, its function is changed. If a possession no longer adds value, it is moved to the attic, found a new home, or recycled.
Living this way creates more than just physical space; it creates the mental capacity to contribute to the world. At my table, I value Uniqueness over Masks. A home should be a reflection of a unique human journey, not a template from a catalog.
When you stop tending to a house that isn’t suitable for your soul, you finally have the energy to build a life that fits.
Let’s Connect!
If you were to look at your current living space, which part in your home is taking up too much of your energy without giving anything back?
