Non-Profit Community
In my previous post, I wrote that I hope you will talk to someone, anyone, in case you feel lost. It reminded me of the non-profit organization I came across on YouTube. This non-profit is “helping every fan in the metal music scene get the mental health support they need”.
To me, that is a fantastic initiative! While metal music might not be your cup of tea, there are many people around the world that do. In the midst of the metal music fans there are, unfortunately, also a lot experiencing mental health issues. That is why Heart Support arose:

Besides getting help, you can also join as a volunteer and even get free training to help others in this community. Since the startup, Heart Support has already helped over 50.000 people.
Regardless the genre of music you prefer; music Connects. And I believe this amazing community is another example. So if you like metal music, there is a place in case you need a listening ear. Or donate your time (or money) to volunteer at Heart Support.

Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement is more important than you might think. It is not about approving, it’s about empowerment and showing appreciation. Virtual social platforms are perfect for that. In addition, for me, it is also about staying aware of the fact that we all human beings, striving to thrive, each in our unique way. Seeking understanding for each others differences, can only lead to a more peaceful world for us all.
