Observing the trees and plants growing new leaves, butterflies and other insects awakening, plus the return of the sun shining more often, I also find myself to be more energetic these days again. The moment spring arrives, it can be very tempting to initiate all kinds of new projects, jump into new adventures and it can be a challenge to stay true to yourself…
To change or not to change
In our world, especially the virtual one, we are flooded with photos, information, ideas, etc. to step out of our comfort-zones, try the latest inventions, buy the newest products and what not more. I myself started to consider changing things up again too, here @ my virtual home. Hence, the post I published a few weeks ago, promising you to reveal which direction I was going to take this website.
Besides, at the time, the prospect of spring, as always being an energy booster, I also found myself under the influence of the coaching industry again: “To be able to grow you have to change and step outside your comfort-zone”. While I do agree, in order to evolve as human beings, accepting change is inevitable, I also believe it is not always necessary to step outside your comfort-zone.
Per example, I do believe it is possible to live ‘tiny in a big house’, pursue a sustainable life, reducing the harmful impact many of us still do create. It is not necessary to run off into the woods and live in a tent, or turn to self-made toilet paper with the availability modern techniques our species invented. Go for it, if that is your ideal lifestyle!
However, whatever future you see for yourself, stepping out of your comfort-zone is not always necessary.
Even though we discovered a lot of challenges which need to be repaired, even completely renewed, in and around our house, I’m not looking for another relocation again. I feel comfortable, at home here.
The art of staying true to yourself
Surfing around my own virtual home here, that same feeling applies. I still love what my website has evolved into and except for some minor changes here and there (mostly updating broken links plus information for legal reasons) I decided not to change the overall layout, concept and purpose.
On my website I share what makes sense to me, based upon personal experiences, gathered ancient wisdom and science based modern knowledge. In the form of articles, art, quotes, collaborations and tools, etc. With the intent to inspire you to Connect to Life, Others, Yourself.
It seems to be a forgotten skill to only take-away what makes sense to you: the art of staying true to yourself.
I needed to remind myself of that too ; -)
Wishing all a comfortable start of the new week!
