In the last Connection Letter of 2025 the topic will be ‘stories’ and the Connections we humans have to them. Enjoy today’s Connection letter…
Sharing
Next year, it will be the 20th year I am creating posts; sharing my thoughts, experiences, and knowledge with the intent to bring meaningful content into our virtual world. Also, stories about my personal life I share every now and then. In addition to this all, I share creations and also stories from our global neighbors.
Even though a lot that can be found online has become questionable, to say the least, I still believe that our virtual world can be an inspirational tool. Especially if we keep sharing meaningful content and thus stories.
Stories
We are a storytelling breed. Many experiences, beliefs, customs, values, etc. are passed on via stories for centuries. Books, videos, films, articles, poetry, music are some of the tools we used, and still do, to tell both fictional and non-fictional tales.
"The core of all of life is a limitless chest of tales".
A sentence from the song ‘Dark Chest of Wonders’ by Nightwish, which I believe to be a perfect summary of the importance of stories for us humans. Sometimes they can divide us, however, most stories ultimately Connect us significantly.
On a personal level, we aren’t always able to influence the stories that impact us all. Fortunately, we do have a choice how to respond to the stories observed and told. And we can also choose which stories we want to believe.
I always say “what good is for me does not have to be good for you, and vice versa.” Never forget you can also choose the story you want to create for yourself, including the Connections to Life, Others, Yourself that make sense to you.
Besides being a storytelling breed, we are also a very creative species. Maybe I am naive to still hope that the dark stories created right now can be turned around into lighter ones. From the moment we discovered fire, we have kept evolving, creating new Connections, enabling us to survive.
Some stories from the past are better forgotten and others are important lessons to remember. Lastly, stories can be very inspiring, motivational, meaningful. It’s why I plan to also keep sharing my personal tales next year and gaining insights from your stories via connecting to you, my dear neighbor.
Stay Connected ; -)
Surviving, evolving, Connecting together: innovative, inspirational, hopeful.
Warm regards,
Patty Wolters
