So far, so good our summer break of 2019. Especially regarding the relaxing part: watched a couple of series, played with Joy and not having to get up at 6 am does increase our holiday-spirit. However, relaxing time doesn’t mean being mindless over here at our Dreampack…
Updating my website
As I already mentioned in the last post, we’re not going far away this year and updating my website is on my holiday-to-do list. Already made major changes and I am happy to inform; the new page is ready! For me this page ties all previous, current and future ideas together.
The desktop view-version needs some maintenance here and there; the mobile version needs still a lot of updating layout-wise. Anyways, the new page Human Being Human and the new landing page is done. Woop Woop !
We know we know
Nowadays, many people focus on what we don’t know (and want). Seemingly ignoring the fact that we KNOW we know and thus know more than most of us seem to believe. In addition, we always have a choice to gain knowledge and even more importantly; trust on what we do know.
Yes, we are never done learning and growing and with that in mind, I enrolled in a new course ‘Justice‘, taught by lauded Harvard professor Michael Sandel. This course explores critical analysis of classical and contemporary theories of justice, including discussion of present-day applications. Topics include affirmative action, income distribution, same-sex marriage, the role of markets, debates about rights (human rights and property rights), arguments for and against equality, dilemmas of loyalty in public and private life. The course invites learners to subject their own views on these controversies to critical examination.
My regular readers know these kind of topics are high on my list of interests. Like our summer break: so far, so good 🙂
Gaining new perspectives
Gaining new perspectives I truly believe will lead to more meaningful connections. Supporting my dear friend Mathias, co-hosting his webinars 80% is Psychology, is another way to gain new insights and knowledge.
Upcoming Thursday – August 8, 2019 – is the second one of the first course. It is not mandatory to participate in each webinar. Yes, of course we would love it if you did, however, Mathias created the webinars in a way you can join just one and thus pick the topic of your interest. If you have time, looking forward to exchange perspectives, learning and growing together.
The other holiday stuff
According to the weather forecast, another week of sunny summer days awaits us, which means we can do all kind of other holiday stuff. Barbecue, day-trips, visiting friends and family, more playtime with our dog Joy, etc. Okidoki, this woman is logging off again.
Until…

Hello Patty! I just read “Human Being Human” and find it quite compelling. It is clearly and concisely presented, and the format is great. Are you following this up with additional essays/articles … perhaps working it into a book? Hugs and blessings from across the Pond!
Hi dear Jonathan! Yes, the plan is to create articles building upon that 🙂 Keeping my fingers still crossed for a good recovery for you my friend. Big hug! XxX
Enjoy the rest of your holiday 🙂
Thank you dear Helena 🙂 XxX
Patty, that class sounds interesting.
It really is, Katherin. Assuming you mean the ‘Justice’ class…you can still enroll, it’s free!
The one with Mathias is “10 bucks” per webinar 🙂
