We got surprised by Mother Nature, who send us a few more Summer days: a perfect time to start help prepare the garden for winter. Most trees and plants are perfectly capable to take care of that themselves, but some flora need a helping hand.
Next week, the weather will go down temperature-wise and then I will have to take out the last vegetables and herbs….
Some flowers will survive the winter, but need to be cut down …
We placed an extra compost bin. The leaves which are falling down right now (Autumn) I throw on the ground around the plants and flowers. This helps keeping the ground/soil healthy, in Spring there will be less weed. All the leaves who don’t fit on the open spaces, will go in the compost bins.
It’s keeping me quite occupied, and also due to an upcoming holiday break I will be less online. As soon as the garden is ready, I will start writing more frequently again 😉
Until…

What a beautiful little plot of land you have there. Well done!
Thank you 🙂 We have 6 of those little squares, next season we are going to add 6 more. But that will do, as in; it’s still manageable and fun 😉
Look good Patty and i’m sure that it keeps you occupied… I still have to find the time… but I’m still searching 🙂
