Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town – Soul Music

The last month of 2022 has started! In a few weeks the holidays are behind us and the new year will have begun. While some of you might already be stressed and sick of Christmas songs… I love them! One of my favorites in today’s post…

The month to Connect

Maybe you don’t celebrate Xmas or you do in an alternative way in comparison to the traditional festivities. Or you do and just don’t like Christmas songs. In our country December is the month to Connect: on the 5th many celebrate the birthday of Saint Nicholas and between 24 and 26 December Santa Claus will be coming to town.

For many the holiday season can be a stressful time. Either due to the feeling it’s mandatory to show up, the thought of all the planning creates anxiety, or you just don’t want to be in the same room with some relatives.
Remember, most in life is a choice. Denying a request is not the same as denying a person ; -)

Of course, the whole year we have opportunities to Connect. In most countries, however, December is THE month to Connect. Whether you do or not… Santa Claus is comin’ to town : -)

For today’s post, I selected one of my favorites. Let’s Connect! and share your favorite Christmas song in the comment section below!

Santa Claus is comin' to town - Bing Crosby plus The Andrews Sisters

Lyrics

You better watch outYou better not cryYou better not poutI’m telling you whySanta Claus is coming to town

He’s making a listHe’s checking it twiceHe’s gonna find out who’s naughty or niceSanta Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleepingAnd he knows when you’re awakeHe knows if you’ve been bad or goodSo be good for goodness sake

You better watch outYou better not cryYou better not poutI’m telling you why‘Cause Santa Claus is coming to townOh, let’s go

Now, he sees you when you’re sleepingAnd he knows when you’re awakeHe knows if you’ve been bad or goodSo be good for goodness sake

You better watch outYou better not cryYou better not poutI’m telling you whySanta Claus is coming to town

You better watch outYou better not cryYou better not poutI’m telling you whySanta Claus is comingI mean the big fat man with the long white beardHe’s coming to town

Soul Connection

There are many ways to Boost Your Soul and music is a fantastic one. There are a variety of genres you can listen to, even Soul Music is a genre in itself. To me, music is also a way to Connect with your Soul. A tool to help you go through emotions and acknowledge them. Depending on your mood, there will be always a piece of art that goes along with it. What I love most about music is how it can Connect people.

Inspire each other...

    1. I’m with you, Patty – I like Christmas songs. Of course, I play many of them on the guitar through November/December. “Have Yourself a Very Merry Little Christmas” is my favourite. My Dad’s was “White Christmas.” “Jingle Bell Rock” is another favourite of mine and so is Chris Rhea’s “Driving Home for Christmas.” I finally got a handle on the intro to “Jingle Bell Rock” last night 🎄🎅🎄

Although I encourage you to Connect to Life, Others and Yourself, it is impossible to Connect to all and everyone.
